COLLEGE OF JUDEA & SAMARIA (CJS) BECOMING A UNIVERSITY CENTER (Last Reminder)
A committee appointed by the Council for Higher Education of Judea and Samaria has recommended the change of CJS status to an interim status of a "University Center" on the way to become a full fledged university within 3-5 years.

(a) The Jewish Nakba
The so-called Minister of Education, having solved all the other problems that beset education in Israel, has decided to join forces with the Palestinian education/propaganda system and adopt the enemy's terminology.
Henceforth the establishment of the State of Israel is to be termed nakba, the catastrophe.
PSI reminds this minister, representing "Ethnic Cleansing Now" in this government, that she bears joint responsibility for the Jewish nakba, the signing of the articles of surrender in the Oslo "peace" process. Can we expect our children to receive at least a balanced perspective, that they will see what the majority of Israel's Jews know: that we have not a peace process but a continuing catastrophe?

(b) Pollard Now!
PSI welcomes the new initiative by the party leaders in the Knesset and joins them in calling on the Prime Minister to demand the immediate release of Jonathan Pollard. We consider Pollard's release to be a humanitarian gesture that one may expect President Bush to make today. Pollard is an Israeli citizen who has spent more years in an American prison than anyone else convicted of similar offenses. This situation is unprecedented in relations between friendly nations.
